Virtually Visiting

Keukenhof Tulip Gardens, located in Lisse, Netherlands, is a must-see destination for any tulip lover. Known as the "Garden of Europe," Keukenhof is the largest flower garden in the world, featuring over 7 million tulips, daffodils, and other spring flowers!

The garden's history dates back to the 15th century, when it was used as a kitchen garden for the nearby castle. In 1949, the park was opened to the public as a tulip garden and has since become a major tourist attraction.

One of the main draws of Keukenhof is the vast array of tulip varieties on display. From traditional Dutch tulips in red, orange, and yellow, to more unique varieties like the frilly-petaled "Parrot" tulip and the delicate, pastel-colored "Lily-Flowered" tulip, there is something for every taste.

In addition to the tulips, Keukenhof also features a variety of other spring flowers, including daffodils, hyacinths, and crocuses, as well as a large collection of sculptures and artwork. The park also has several ponds and lakes, providing a peaceful and serene setting for visitors to enjoy the flowers.

Keukenhof is usually only open from April to mid-May each year, so if you're already busy this spring then fear not, as you can visit the beautiful gardens virtually with our guide Mark! It is a must-see destination for any flower lover, offering a breathtaking display of tulips and other spring flowers set against a beautiful and peaceful background. It is definitely a stop to consider when planning a trip to Amsterdam, so why not try it virtually first?
