Welcome to the historic district of Blackfriars in the City of London, where you can see the very little that remains of the once magnificent 13th Blackfriars monastery, and explore the maze of alleyways which have replaced it over the years. Other highlights include the ornate pub named after the monastery, and another tavern with more of a bloody past. After a brief look at the College of Arms, you will enjoy wonderful views of St Paul’s Cathedral. We finish our journey by the River Thames itself, and the 21st century Millennium Bridge with stunning views of the SouthBank skyline and a surprise often overlooked by visitors and Londoners alike.
